About the museum
The Elektro-Museum in Roigheim is a private museum. It opened in 1992 to mark the company anniversary of the local electrical shop and is housed in an 18th-century building that once served as a wheelwright's workshop.
More than 1,000 exhibits show how the use of electricity, radio technology and overhead line construction have developed. On display are tools and extensive installation materials of the electrical trade, motors, electric kitchen and household appliances, and lamps. In addition there is an extensive radio collection, gramophones and military radio equipment.
