About the museum
The local history museum shows rural objects from house, farmyard and crafts from roughly the last 200 years. It is housed in the “Alte Schule” (old school) in Oberndorf; the entrance is signposted at the basement stairway of the gymnasium. The museum is equipped and cared for by the Heimatverein Oberndorf-Eggelstetten-Flein e. V. (local heritage society).
Visitors see reconstructed workshops such as a shoemaker's and a tailor's, rooms for laundry and housework, and evidence of food production, such as cider-making. Special features include an original classroom furnished “as in the old days” and a miniature reconstruction of a Roman farmstead.
