About the museum
The Jean-Daprai-Museum is a private collection housed in the business premises of the Raiffeisenbank in Rain am Lech; today the bank belongs to VR Bank Neuburg-Rain. The bank created the Forum in honor of the painter Jean Daprai. He was born in Rovereto in 1929, attended school in Rain and has lived in Paris since 1955, but he remains connected to his hometown to this day.
The exhibition brings together the artist's most important works and awards and gives an overview of his career. His favorite motifs include woman as a symbol of life and fertility, the animal world (especially the horse), the plant world, and the city as the center of human life.
