About the museum
The Haus der Bahngeschichte (House of Railway History) in Walldürn is devoted to the Madonnenlandbahn, which runs from Miltenberg via Walldürn to Seckach. It is operated by the Heimat- und Museumsverein Walldürn (local history and museum association).
The centerpiece is a replica in which the train runs through the Marsbach valley. Detailed models show the stations along the line. Photos and films document journeys with steam locomotives and rail buses. The museum also shows the manual closing of level-crossing barriers and the manual switching of points.
Objects, photos and documents tell the story of the line through its various eras, up to the present day.
