About the museum
Museum Zeit(T)räume goes back to the collecting passion of Bruno and Beate Kaiser. It began with a regulator clock from the Gründerzeit (the founding era of the German Empire), which they bought at a flea market in Sickendorf in northern Hesse; it still hangs in the entrance area today.
From that first piece grew a collection of tower clock movements, mechanical musical instruments, historic radios and further exhibits. In 2019 a new tower clock exhibition opened in the neighboring barn, and a radio exhibition was set up in the former tower clock room. The rooms for mechanical musical instruments were reorganized in 2020/21.
The museum is run privately and supported by a friends' association (Förderverein).
