About the museum
The association “O Aristotelis” was founded in Florina on 30 July 1941. In 1958 its members began collecting objects of local folk tradition from the villages of Prespa and the Florina plain, in the old prison building.
In 1987 the folklore collection, which kept growing, was moved to the association’s new offices in the city centre, and today it forms a museum in Plateia Iroon (Heroes Square). The exhibits are organised by theme, such as costume.
