About the museum
The Telloglion Foundation of Art was founded in 1972, when Nestoras and Aliki Telloglou donated their art collection and their entire estate to the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The building was handed over to the city in December 1999.
The foundation’s main aims are to introduce the public to art, to collect, record and study the cultural heritage, to foster cooperation between artists and scholars, and to bring children into contact with works of art through educational programmes.
The foundation organises exhibitions in cooperation with partners in Greece and abroad, as well as events, conferences and publications. It has an exhibition space, indoor and outdoor amphitheatres, a workshop room and a shop, and its collections are also available digitally.
