About the museum
The brick-walled Deák Ferenc navigation and feeder lock was built in 1875 at the confluence of the Sugovica, the Ferenc feeder canal and the Szeremle Holt-Danube. The museum is set in a calm, well-kept environment, with constantly moving water and hundred-and-twenty-year-old plane trees; it occupies the building of the pumping station built in 1916, which also houses a conference hall for one hundred people.
