About the museum
The memorial house is the birthplace of the painter Diószegi Balázs, Munkácsy and Székely Bertalan Prize laureate, on what was formerly Bacsó Béla utca, now Szappanos Lukács utca. On the left side of the street, the first house is a small, old, simple reed-thatched Kiskunság peasant house. The birthplace was converted into a memorial house in 1981, where several paintings donated by the artist are displayed.
