About the museum
Most of the material of the Dunakeszi local history collection was gathered by Szakáll Lászlóné, retired school principal and honorary citizen of Dunakeszi. The collection now numbers more than 6,300 objects, a large part of which were donated by local residents.
The material includes photographs, folk costume pieces, agricultural and household tools, school equipment, dolls, horse-riding equipment, maps and plans. The permanent exhibition presents the history of the town, old crafts and costume. In 2010 an authentic peasant kitchen was also set up.
The collection is managed by Dr. Kerekes Dóra.
