About the museum
Bunker H is an underground complex of tunnels dug beneath the Monte di Mezzo and the Guncina hill in Bolzano. It was built between 1943 and 1944 for the exclusive use of the German occupying army and covers about 7,000 square metres.
Since 2013 it has been run by the social cooperative Talia, which has turned it into a sociocultural space: it hosts exhibitions, cultural events and performances and can be visited on guided tours. Visits take place by booking via WhatsApp; visits in English must be requested in advance.
For guided tours organised by external bodies, a torch is required, for example.
