About the museum
The birthplace of Father David Maria Turoldo stands in Coderno, a hamlet of Sedegliano, and is an example of mid-18th-century Friulian rural architecture, arranged around a courtyard with farm buildings. The walls are built of Tagliamento pebbles mixed with fragments of terracotta.
On the ground floor is the kitchen; on the first floor are two modest bedrooms of the Turoldo family, preserved as they originally were, while the attic is now a meeting room with a small library.
The rooms display materials and objects connected with the poetic, literary and religious work of the friar and poet. The house is run by the Centro Studi Turoldo and is visited by appointment.
