About the museum
The Casa rurale del territorio di Trinco, in the municipality of Drenchia, is a small anthropological and ethnographic display devoted to everyday life in the Valli del Natisone, a linguistic and cultural island of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Farm tools and objects of rural life from the area are collected here.
Trinco lies at the foot of the Kolovrat ridge, where the second and third Italian defensive lines of the First World War ran; today the area hosts an open-air museum dedicated to that conflict. For this reason, alongside the ethnographic objects, relics and photographs from the First World War are also preserved.
