About the museum
The Lou Feracaval museum, founded in 1995, documents the trade of the farrier, now vanished, from the time when agriculture and transport depended on horses, mules and donkeys. It is housed in an old farrier's workshop that remained in operation until the 1970s.
The exhibition keeps tools typical of the trade, such as forges, anvils and tongs, and lets visitors step into a workshop where the working animals of the Valle Stura were shod.
