About the museum
The museum is in Torre di Palme, a hill village in the municipality of Fermo, in a palace built in neo-Guelph style after the Second World War. It was inaugurated in 2019 under the motto “The oldest history in the most recent museum”.
The rooms document the ancient settlement of the area through the Picene necropolises and archaeological material from excavations, with particular attention to the finds from tomb 9. The route is accompanied by information panels in Italian and English. The museum also has an open-air garden and belongs to the circuit of Fermo's civic museums.
