About the museum
The museum opened on 21 June 2009 in the former Casa della Musica in Brescello and collects evidence of the village’s activities and life in the past.
Temporary exhibitions are held on the ground floor. The first floor houses a reconstruction of a film set from the Don Camillo and Peppone films, with behind-the-scenes photographs that tell the story of the link between cinema and the area, and a section devoted to Raffaele Vaccari, a violin maker born in Brescello, known for violins in the Stradivarian tradition. On the top floor, a route recalls rural life in the 1950s and the great flood of 1951, which also features in the first film of the series.
