About the museum
The Museo capitolare e diocesano di Foligno is housed in the Palazzo delle Canoniche, beside the cathedral of San Feliciano, with its entrance from Largo Carducci; the ticket office and bookshop are at the base of the cathedral. The museum holds sacred art and documents the building phases of the church, from the Romanesque to the Renaissance, the Baroque and Neoclassicism.
The route runs over several levels: the first floor hosts temporary exhibitions, while the main collection is on the second floor. Among the most significant works are the 15th-century statue of San Feliciano, recently restored; a 14th-century reliquary of the True Cross in rock crystal; ancient processional crosses; part of the cathedral silverware; and pieces from the Roscioli family bequest, including two busts attributed to Bernini.
