About the museum
The museum collects archaeological material found in Cavaion Veronese and neighbouring municipalities, from prehistory to the Middle Ages. The prehistoric section includes pottery, bronze objects, dagger blades, stone and bone tools, amber, clay tablets and loom weights.
Remains of a Roman-period necropolis and of settlements from the same period are also on display. The route ends with medieval material recovered in the latest excavation campaign on Monte San Michele, the hill overlooking the village. It also contains the Bastia San Michele archaeological area, which is listed separately.
