About the museum
The museum opened in 1995 in the building that once housed the Regia Scuola d'Arte (Royal School of Art), founded in 1875 thanks to the bequest of Giuseppe De Fabris. The collections have grown with the help of associations and citizens of Nove. They document the history of local ceramics from the 18th century to the contemporary era.
The route unfolds over three levels: on the second floor, 18th-century production linked to the Antonibon company; on the first floor, the 19th century, with neo-Rococo style and folk ceramics; on the ground floor, the 20th century and the most recent works, enriched by an important acquisition in 2023. The 20th-century section features a group of ceramics awarded prizes at the Salone Internazionale della Ceramica, held in Vicenza from 1949 to 1975.
The museum is linked to a contemporary space for exhibitions and temporary projects, and to the Parco Urbano della Ceramica, the Museo diffuso made up of public art, historic manufactories and historic places in the village.
