About the museum
The museum is housed in the former convent of the Capuchin friars, built in 1633 and transferred to the municipality of Bisacquino in 1869. As well as being a museum, it works as a cultural centre that hosts conferences, seminars and themed meetings.
The display is devoted to material culture and the history of local traditions. It includes ethnographic material, photographs, documents, oral recordings on multimedia formats and objects that tell the story of village life. Some period rooms have been reconstructed, and the route makes use of multimedia tools.
