About the museum
The Museo d’Arte Adria e Delta (MAAD) is housed in Palazzo Bocchi, in Adria, in premises owned by the Fondazione Scolastica “Carlo Bocchi”. It opened in 2016 with the exhibition “Attraverso, una visione oltre” and is run by the association Adria Cultura.
The permanent route is devoted to the history of printmaking from the Renaissance onwards, starting from the Bocchi Collection, and brings together sheets by European artists: among others Albrecht Dürer, the Sadeler family of engravers, Salvator Rosa and Jacques Callot, as well as some 18th-century figures such as Jackson, Leonardis and Bartolozzi.
One section is devoted to reproductive prints (incisioni di traduzione), which reproduce works by Raphael, Michelangelo and Titian; alongside the historical part, the museum includes a section of contemporary art.
