About the museum
The museum is located in Via Nobili, in the building that once housed the elementary school of Smerillo and now hosts the Musei di Smerillo. On the ground floor are the Museo di Scienze Naturali, a library and a projection room; on the first floor are the Museo d'Arte Contemporanea and the Museo dei Bambini.
The contemporary art collection brings together works by 64 artists, mainly from the Marche, both established and from younger generations. The initiative was born with the aim of promoting an area known above all for its environmental and natural features, while also showing its artistic heritage, and of providing a place for learning about and promoting the region's artists.
