About the museum
The museum occupies the second floor of the Mesola castle, the Delizia estense (Este hunting lodge) overlooking the Gran Bosco. Its central theme is the Mesola Forest deer, an animal found only in the nature reserve surrounding the castle.
The route links the Delizia with the surrounding land: the Sacca di Goro, the forest and its seasons. The exhibits also include herbarium sheets by Filippo De Pisis.
Guided visits are possible by reservation, while tourist information is handled by the Pro Loco di Mesola.
