About the museum
The Museo del Cinema in Catania was inaugurated on 16 May 2003 in the Le Ciminiere cultural centre, the former sulphur mine converted into an exhibition hub. It holds documents relating to the art of cinema, its techniques and its history, with particular attention to the relationship between cinema and Sicily.
