About the museum
The Museo del Mare di Varazze is located in the area of the marina and is dedicated to the seafaring tradition of the town and its ties with the sea. The compact route presents ship models, work tools, period photographs and documents that tell the story of fishermen, shipwrights (maestri d’ascia) and local seafarers.
One section is devoted to traditional shipbuilding, an activity for which Varazze has been known for centuries.
