About the museum
The Museo del Naviglio Grande was opened on 8 April 2008 at the initiative of the Pro Loco of Robecco sul Naviglio and the municipal administration. Its aim is to explain the importance of the Naviglio Grande in the history of the towns on the canal and in the popular culture of the area.
The permanent exhibition consists of photographs and documents arranged in an educational way. It occupies two rooms of Palazzo Archinto, locally known as “il castello”, next to the new library.
The museum is also linked to the “Linea delle Delizie”, the boat service that on weekends travels up a stretch of the canal between historic villas and villages.
