About the museum
The Museo del Teatro preserves the evidence of the centuries-old history of the Teatro della Musica in Cesena, today the Teatro Alessandro Bonci. An archive section documents the theatre's activity through posters, playbills, programmes, photographs and drawings, costumes, stage sets and video and audio recordings.
Alongside the archive is an artistic section, with a collection of historic backdrops and curtains and, in particular, scenes and curtains commissioned by the theatre from contemporary artists.
On the stage are unusual stage machines, which can be seen on the guided route.
