About the museum
The Museo del vino in Berchidda, home of the Enoteca regionale della Sardegna, has been active since 1999 and was set up through the collaboration between the Comunità montana del Monte Acuto and the Comune di Berchidda. It is located in the historic centre of the village, in the Logudoro, at the foot of Monte Limbara, in an area with a long winemaking tradition.
The route displays the tools of vine and wine work: hoes, presses, vats and corking machines, together with tools used for cork processing and bottling. The collection is completed by wine amphorae used to transport wine around the Mediterranean and a selection of old labels matched with the objects on display.
A multimedia system with images, sounds and stories helps to interpret the objects and provides information on the territory and the island’s viticulture. The museum also hosts cultural events, tastings and guided tours.
