Dispersed museum of environmental art in the Bosco di Curadureddu on Monte Limbara, with site-specific installations by contemporary artists and the CEDAP exhibition space.
Installation route curated by Elena Calaresu: three works featuring images of clouds, sky and water, presented on monitors, light boxes and projections, which treat the threshold as a solid boundary or one that is merely perceived.
Multimedia exhibition by Gaetano Crivaro and Margherita Pisano, curated by Lidia Decandia: eight short video portraits of people who have chosen to live and work in the countryside of Gallura, using practices that respect the land.
About the museum
Organica is a museum of environmental art founded in 2020 in the Limbara Park, in the Bosco di Curadureddu on the slopes of Monte Limbara, a few kilometres from Tempio Pausania. The project aims to enhance the natural and landscape heritage of Sardinia, with particular attention to Gallura, through the languages of contemporary art.
The museum is dispersed: along the forest paths, permanent site-specific installations by contemporary artists have been placed. The CEDAP exhibition space hosts exhibitions of visual arts and photography; the programme also includes open-air performances, workshops, happenings and cultural trekking. A more recent route, Acquamontana, leads to the peaks of the Limbara with nine large works.
The project is promoted by the association tramedarte, with artistic direction by Giannella Demuro, in collaboration with the municipality of Tempio Pausania and with the support, among others, of the Ministry of Culture, the Fondazione di Sardegna, the Sardinia Region and the FAI.
