About the museum
The museum is set up in a wing of the Cascina Marquet, in the Roncaia hamlet of Boves, and forms the initial core of a future chestnut ecomuseum.
Two rooms trace the history of the chestnut, the “bread of the poor”, up to the present day. Tools used in chestnut cultivation are on display, and a small library on the subject is available to visitors. Guided tours and educational routes are planned to explore the traditions of the area.
