About the museum

The museum is part of the complex of the cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata in Anagni and is one of the main cultural centres of southern Lazio. The route is divided into twelve stops that include, among other rooms, the Library, the Lapidary and the archaeological collection.

The main draw is the Crypt of San Magno, an underground room entirely covered with frescoes dating from almost a thousand years ago, often called the “Sistine Chapel of the Middle Ages”. The crypt is part of the route and cannot be visited separately.

Signs and captions accompany visitors on their own, and there is an app-based audio guide and 3D virtual tours that can be viewed online.
