About the museum
The Museo demoetnoantropologico of Moio della Civitella displays objects of everyday use, now no longer serving their original function, linked to the activities and culture of the local rural world and made between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 20th century.
The museum complex is housed in Palazzo Torrusio, a noble residence from the second half of the 18th century. The route is divided into seven sections: historical, domestic, olive growing, cereal growing, wine-making, textiles and religious. A notable piece is the base of a sandstone wine press with carved symbols, which can be linked to the encounter between Christianity and the Lombard-Norman culture of the 11th century.
