About the museum
The Museo della civiltà contadina of Filottrano was set up in 1995 in some rooms of the monastery of Santa Chiara, in Via Nazario Sauro. It grew out of a private collection of objects typical of Marche farm life, enriched over time with ethnographic artefacts of interest.
The available sources describe it as temporarily closed to the public; the museum does not appear among the cultural sites published by the Comune di Filottrano, which instead lists other town collections, such as the Museo del biroccio marchigiano, the Museo Beltrami and the Museo della macchina da cucire.
