About the museum
The museum was established in 1990 in the convent complex attached to the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, next to the shrine of Nostra Signora di Montebruno. The ethnographic section holds objects related to crafts and trades, farm machinery, carts and gigs, and reconstructs rural rooms such as the stable, the kitchen and the bedroom.
The route is organised into several sections: traditional crafts, the cycles of work in the fields, the typical stable, the furnished kitchen, the bedroom with a collection of linen, various tools and farm vehicles, and an old mill with millstones. A sacred art section brings together objects of worship, banners and devotional prints, while the nearby cloister houses the historical and photographic documentation of the valley’s places of worship.
