About the museum
The Museo del Partigiano in Propata is housed in a former school building and was opened to the public on 10 June 2000. The display has mainly educational purposes and consists of six panels with images and information sheets.
The panels are devoted to the story of the “Jori” brigade, part of the “Cichero” division, active in these mountains, whose command was quartered from November 1944 at Casa del Romano, not far from Propata. They illustrate partisans’ daily life and relations with the civilian population, Allied airdrops, and the control and repression carried out by the Italian Social Republic (RSI), up to the liberation of Genoa between 25 and 27 April 1945.
