About the museum
The visitor centre is located at Rondanina, in the former parish rectory, and is a facility of the Antola Regional Nature Park in the Ligurian Apennines. It is dedicated to the wolf, which has returned to live in the mountains of Liguria after decades of absence.
The interactive multimedia route was created by the Genoa company ETT and unfolds across five rooms. It addresses the historical relationship between people and wolves, the animal's biology and behaviour, monitoring methods and up-to-date data on its presence in Liguria.
One part of the exhibition is devoted to preventing conflicts with livestock farmers and to coexistence measures; another to the portrayal of the wolf in fairy tales, literature and the media.
