About the museum
The Museo della Sacralità delle Espressioni di Gratitudine is housed in Palazzo Coppini, in the historic centre of Florence, where the Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco – Life Beyond Tourism also has its seat. It grew out of the collaboration and exchange built up over the years between the Foundation and people from all over the world.
The collections bring together the gifts received during the Foundation's international activities: objects, works and artefacts that bear witness to relationships, encounters and gestures of gratitude, and that tell, through material heritage, the intangible heritage of relations between peoples. The objects, more than a thousand, come from many countries.
The museum also includes the International Library (Biblioteca internazionale), with thousands of volumes in dozens of languages and scripts donated by institutions, universities and personalities, many with a personal dedication, and the collection of honours and awards conferred. The library can be consulted by appointment.
