About the museum
The Museo della Linea Christa was founded in 2006 at the initiative of several collectors from Sogliano al Rubicone. It displays Second World War military material: weapons, uniforms, equipment, video documents and photographs linked to the passage of the front through Romagna in autumn 1944.
Most of the finds concern the Linea Christa, a series of defensive strongholds along the Rubicone river. In the cave next to the museum an air-raid shelter has been reconstructed, with an audio sequence reproducing a bombing raid. A small display case also holds Garibaldian memorabilia.
The collection is growing, and the museum works with bodies and institutions on historical re-enactment events.
