About the museum
The Museo della Malga is dedicated to the work carried out in the alpine pastures (malghe) scattered across the Giudicarie and Val Rendena. It is on the ground floor of the former stables of Palazzo Lodron-Bertelli, in the centre of Caderzone Terme.
The rooms display the tools developed over time for working milk and its products, such as butter, ricotta and cheese, together with a rich collection of cowbells. The route tells the story of shepherds and cheesemakers in the malga (alpine pasture hut), with old tools of farmers, shepherds and cheesemakers, traditional clothing and household objects.
