About the museum
The museum is located in the historic centre of Spinetoli. The site was chosen after a careful evaluation of the necessary requirements, in particular the microclimate conditions and the architectural structure of the exhibition space.
The collection was formed through the municipality’s acquisition of the works awarded in the various editions of the Concorso Nazionale di Scultura held in Spinetoli. Among the award-winning artists are Nicola Nastro, Cosetta Mastragostino, Valentino Giampaoli and Orazio Barbagallo.
Educational workshops are also organised in the exhibition space, designed to stimulate creativity and imagination and to develop the ability to rework different materials.
