About the museum

The museum collects everyday objects and materials used by soldiers on the Alpine front in the First World War, largely recovered in the areas of the Adamello and the Pasubio. It is part of the circuit of the Ecomuseo della Grande Guerra delle Prealpi Vicentine.

The collection includes medical material, such as medicines, vials and first-aid instruments, equipment for lighting trenches and observation posts and for telephone connections, and objects for life at high altitude: snowshoes, often rudimentary skis, gloves, caps, balaclavas, crampons and footwear for lookouts.
