About the museum
The Museo parrocchiale di Arte Sacra is located in Ruviano, in the hamlet of Alvignanello. It preserves items linked to the local religious tradition: statues, votive gold objects, ex-votos, furnishings for the liturgy and vestments in their historical development, including a cope and a dalmatic from the late 18th century, liturgical books and paintings.
It also holds pottery fragments from local excavations or donated over the years after being studied by archaeologists. The demo-ethno-anthropological section houses tools of domestic life, of religious occasions and of work in the fields, as well as old working implements that tell the popular history of the village.
