About the museum
The museum is housed in the Rocca Malatestiana of Cesena, in the building known as the Palatium or “Femmina”, one of the two main bodies of the fortified citadel on the Garampo hill. The collection dates from 1974, when the artist Mario Bocchini donated it to the city.
The display is arranged by production cycles, including those of hemp, wheat, vines and wine, livestock and transport, and traces the main stages in the evolution of the agrarian structures of the Cesena area.
The museum is visited as part of the guided tour of the Rocca's towers.
