About the museum
The Lamezia Terme diocesan museum opened in 1998 on the first floor of the Palazzo del Seminario Vescovile. Its original core consisted of liturgical objects shown in an exhibition of 1993, to which materials from the ancient dioceses of Nicastro and Martirano were later added.
The collection spans the period from the 15th to the 20th century and includes, among other things, paintings by Francesco Colelli and works attributed to the Rogliano school. Guided tours are offered; on Sundays the museum opens only for groups by reservation.
