About the museum
The Museo diocesano di Fermo is located on the Girfalco hill, next to the metropolitan cathedral basilica. It opened in 2004 in the premises of the former Confraternity of the Suffragio, now extinct, thanks to the commitment of the archbishop of the time.
The collections include works of art and liturgical objects from the cathedral and from the diocese's territory, spanning from the early Christian era to the 20th century. The route is divided into a treasury room, a silverware room, a picture gallery on two floors and sections devoted to sacred vestments.
