About the museum
The Museo ferroviario ligure – Onlus was founded in October 1998 to preserve rolling stock and everyday railway objects that document the history and technological development of rail transport in Italy.
The collections and the specialised library are in the new railway station of Taggia Arma. The library is only partly open because of damage it has suffered, and since 14 January 2022 it offers only loans and interlibrary loans.
The association organises free guided tours for schools at the Taggia Arma station; other visits are arranged by appointment.
