About the museum
The museum in Talamello is dedicated to Fernando Gualtieri, a painter from a Talamello family, known for his still lifes, portraits and compositions in which play of light and colour dominates. The artist donated several dozen works to the town, which form the core of the collection.
The venue is the former Amintore Galli theatre, originally created within the medieval church of Sant’Antonio Abate, a short walk from the historic centre. The museum opened in 2002 and also includes a small bookshop.
The route presents oil paintings and drawings on canvas in various formats, in which light and colour make the objects appear almost tangible.
