About the museum
The museum was opened in 2007 in Garlenda by the Fiat 500 Club Italia to give enthusiasts a reference point devoted to the small Fiat city car and its designer, Dante Giacosa. It combines a passion for cars with multimedia tools and tells the story of the Fiat 500 from the post-war period to the present day.
The cars on display are working examples made available by the club’s members and rotate over time, such as a Giardiniera from 1961 and a Ranger 4×4 from 1968. The route also includes a model section, a section dedicated to Dante Giacosa, a children’s section and a video archive. Every year, on the occasion of the Incontro internazionale di Garlenda (international gathering), themed exhibitions are set up.
