About the museum
The museum, opened in 2007 in Santa Ninfa, is entirely dedicated to Nino Cordio, a painter and sculptor born in the town in 1937 who died in Rome on 24 April 2000. It houses the substantial donation of etchings that the artist made a few years before his death and, alongside these, a series of oil paintings, frescoes, drawings and sculptures lent by the family: more than 200 works are on display.
As well as the large exhibition rooms, the museum has a room for video screenings, a multimedia room designed for teaching with schools of every level, a studio room that recreates the artist’s working environments, and a theatre room where cultural events linked to the works are held. Guided tours are available.
