About the museum
The museum was established in 1975 thanks to the donation to the parish by Anna Lolli, a native of Bagnara di Romagna and the inspiration for the composer Pietro Mascagni. It is housed in the parish house of the archpriestal church of San Giovanni Battista and Sant’Andrea Apostolo.
The collection comprises about 4,600 letters written between 1910 and 1944, kept in 126 folders, along with the Maestro’s personal belongings, photographs with dedications, a piano, the death mask of his face, music scores, publications and newspaper clippings of the period.
